At the beginning of 1900 an old Florentine diplomat chose the Chianti area as the place where to build a villa while he was about to finish his last task in Buenos Aires. This residence had to be the suitable place to keep relationships with the world which had belonged to him all his life. He finally decided for" Corte di Valle" on the main road to Florence.
